Our history

Founded by Brian Marshall in 1974 as an estate agency, Brian’s son Nick joined the company in 1980 and evolved the business to include full management for rental properties across the Sussex Coast and surrounding areas.

Nick joined the company in 1980 and evolved the business to include a full management service for rental properties across the South East Coast from Eastbourne to Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. We now manage properties in Mid Sussex such as Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill and Worthing in West Sussex.

As landlords ourselves, we believe we offer a unique service in that we are always there for our clients and go above and beyond to make life easier for the landlord or tenant.

Meet the team

Nick Marshall

Nick has been running the office in Peacehaven since 1980 and now has over 40 years’ experience in the business. With an amazing capacity to somehow know every single tenant, landlord and customer that’s ever come through our doors, Nicks dedication to the company has been integral to who we are today. We pride ourselves and continue to hear from individuals that have been recommended to come and see Nick for help with a property, whether that be for sales or lettings.


Nick’s eldest daughter Emma has spent most her working life at the company (almost 20 years, but we keep quiet about that bit!) There’s now not too much she doesn’t know about the lettings side of the business. An ever-changing industry in the last 10 years, Emma keeps abreast of all the changes and makes sure each property is in check. She also has a great relationship with all our landlords and tenants, which is such an important part of our ethos as a company.


Nick’s youngest daughter, Gina joined the company in early 2021 and has dived straight into the deep end after deciding to leave her career of twelve years with the police service. Gina may be new to the world of sales and lettings but having grown up with her Dad and sister talking about not much else, a lot has rubbed off and with her previously demanding organisational role, slotting into this company has been an easy transition.



Becky joined us 6 years ago while Emma was off on maternity leave and we’re so glad to have found her following her move to the area. Becky has 15 years customer service experience, so she is now a very important part of our lettings team and gets on well with all our landlords, tenants and tradespeople. She looks after our property accounts so is the popular one with the landlords, making sure they get paid on time! She is a very important part of the team.


Penny has worked for Nick for longer than we are allowed to say, and we wouldn’t know what to do without her! Penny knows all our landlords and tenants well and provides us with an invaluable service keeping the office going. She makes a mean cup of tea and is part of the family!


Lynsay joined our team in 2023 and we couldn’t be happier to have her.
Coming from a background working in finance with the council, she’s been quick to pick up how things work here and is now working alongside Becky in our lettings team.
She likes tea and musicals, so she fits in like a dream around here!



Everyone knows that unfortunately properties don’t take care of themselves, but we are proud to have an extended family of reliable and knowledgeable tradespeople to assist us whenever a problem arises, be it day or night. Having built up such great relationships we can pass their competitive rates and excellent tradesman ship over to our clients!


We are committed to providing a professional service to all our clients and customers. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our services and overall standards.

If you have a complaint that you feel has not been dealt with to your satisfaction, then we would ask that you put it in writing. We will then respond in line with the timeframes set out below.


We are here to support our landlords with the ever-changing rules and regulations around letting your property. Our vast experience in property management means we can ensure the completion of all required legal documentation successfully. We also take our own responsibilities as a lettings agent very seriously and are proud members of the following schemes.
